Start Your Own Business

Our successful training programme has encouraged a series of budding entrepreneurs amongst the residents of several of London’s housing associations.  These entrepreneurs have gone on to start businesses across London, in a wide range of fields from high-end fashion to recycling second hand white goods.

Affinity Sutton the first housing association to commission a dedicated Start Your Own Business course said, “we are so pleased with the outcomes from the project we are now looking at how to extend this support to residents spread across our 56,000 properties across the country”.

Some of the graduates from the first Affinity Sutton course are now looking for financing, prototyping product designs and delivering their first orders.

AmicusHorizon residents have recently completed the Start Your Own Business course with several interesting business plans being created by these budding entrepreneurs. The new businesses will shortly be presenting their success at the House of Commons. See our event section to find out more.
